The zero-gravity sitting position was originally developed by NASA for their astronauts. It was a response to their astronauts who spent many hours in space and needed a way to ergonomically sit that helped ensure a proper flow of blood. It involves raising your feet higher than your heart and has many health benefits. It improves circulation and relieves back pain. The sitting position neutralizes the effect that gravity has on your spine, which in turn allows your discs to decompress and helps the blood flow to the back. It also greatly improves lung capacity because it reduces pressure on the lungs.

If you suffer from back pain, then you could very likely benefit from a zero-gravity chair. Currently Golden offers the MaxiComfort which uses zero-gravity technology to reduce back strain and has many benefits.
